Welcome to Picacho School

We have a great little school in Picacho. It can offer children things that the larger surrounding schools can't. Many of our students come for the safety and the personal feel that the school offers. We traditionally don't have gang activity, or incidents of systematic bullying, or fights. A major aspect of this is the result of having small classes lead by proactive teachers with supportive administrative policies that do not tolerate these behaviors.

Attending Picacho School

Picacho School accepts out of district students depending upon the current enrollment numbers. Your child will be accepted for enrollment if there are seats available in the same grade level as your child,  and your child doesn't have a history of discipline problems in his/her previous school. The school also provides busing into Eloy, Toltec, and Arizona City for children in those areas that wish to attend Picacho School.   

Smaller Classes and More Individual Attention

Average class size is 22 students at Picacho School. This translates to more individualized attention for every student. Students at our school feel welcome and accepted. The majority of our students are happy to be at Picacho School.

Academics

The curriculum has a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and math. Picacho School scored in the top 14% of Arizona school districts and had the highest rank of any district in Pinal County.
